I have attended many certification workshops during my twenty plus years in the human resources profession (Myers Briggs, Caliper, Birkman, DISC, etc). So coming into this one, my expectations were not very high other than wanting to get all of my direct reports to get more familiar with the DISC PLUS tool. To my surprise, the seminar became more than a certification workshop, it became a coaching session where I saw my team open up and start to address issues we as a team were having.
